संहाररूप-प्रादुर्भावः
Manifestation of Śiva’s Saṃhāra-Form
त्वं महापुरुषः शम्भुः सर्वेशस्सुरनायकः । निःस्वात्मा निर्विकारात्मा परब्रह्म सतां गतिः
tvaṃ mahāpuruṣaḥ śambhuḥ sarveśassuranāyakaḥ | niḥsvātmā nirvikārātmā parabrahma satāṃ gatiḥ
You are the Mahāpuruṣa, Śambhu—the Lord of all and the leader of the gods. You are the Self beyond ego, the Self untouched by change; You are the Supreme Brahman, the final refuge and goal of the righteous.
A devotee/sage praising Lord Shiva (as narrated by Suta Goswami in the Shatarudra Samhita context)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadashiva
Mantra: त्वं महापुरुषः शम्भुः सर्वेशस्सुरनायकः । निःस्वात्मा निर्विकारात्मा परब्रह्म सतां गतिः
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
It identifies Shiva as both the cosmic Lord (Sarveśa, leader of the devas) and the transcendental Absolute (Parabrahma), teaching that liberation is attained by taking refuge in the changeless, ego-transcending Shiva.
Though Shiva is praised as Nirvikāra (without change), devotees approach Him through Saguna forms such as the Śiva-liṅga; the liṅga becomes a concrete focus for devotion that leads the mind toward the Parabrahma nature described here.
Meditate on Shiva as ‘nirvikāra’ while japa of the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and worship the liṅga with bhakti as the outer support for realizing the inner, ego-free refuge (niḥsvātmā).
