रुद्ररथ-निर्माणवर्णनम् / Description of Rudra’s Divine Chariot Construction
सर्वभूतमयश्चैव सौवर्णस्सर्वसंमतः । रथांगं दक्षिणं सूर्यस्तद्वामं सोम एव च
sarvabhūtamayaścaiva sauvarṇassarvasaṃmataḥ | rathāṃgaṃ dakṣiṇaṃ sūryastadvāmaṃ soma eva ca
That chariot pervades all beings, shines with golden splendor, and is approved by all. Its right wheel is the Sun, and its left wheel is indeed the Moon.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Role: nurturing
It presents the Lord’s cosmic, all-pervading presence (sarvabhūtamaya) in a visible, Saguna way—showing that the entire rhythm of life, time, and consciousness is upheld within the divine order.
Just as the Linga is worshipped as the axis of the universe, this verse maps cosmic functions (Sun and Moon) onto the Lord’s manifestation, supporting contemplative worship where creation’s powers are seen as dependent on Shiva.
A simple dhyāna is implied: contemplate Shiva as the indwelling reality of all beings while mentally placing Surya and Soma as balancing powers (heat/illumination and coolness/nourishment), then repeat the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
