शुक्रस्य जठरस्थत्वं तथा मृत्युशमनी-विद्या (Śukra in Śiva’s belly and the death-subduing vidyā)
अनिर्भेद्यं पविव्यूहं विविशुर्दैत्य दानवाः । प्रमथानीकमखिलं विधूय त्वदनुग्रहात्
anirbhedyaṃ pavivyūhaṃ viviśurdaitya dānavāḥ | pramathānīkamakhilaṃ vidhūya tvadanugrahāt
By your grace, the Daityas and Dānavas forced their way into the impenetrable thunderbolt-formation (pavi-vyūha), having shaken and scattered the entire host of the Pramathas.
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the battle account to the sages)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
The verse highlights anugraha (divine dispensation/grace) as the decisive power behind outcomes. In a Shaiva Siddhanta lens, events in the cosmos unfold under Pati (Śiva)’s governance—victory or defeat is not merely force, but the maturation of karma under divine order.
The Pramathas are attendants of Saguna Śiva—Śiva engaged in līlā and protection. Remembering Śiva as the Lord who grants anugraha strengthens bhakti toward the Liṅga, where devotees seek not only protection but inner purification and right alignment with dharma.
Contemplate Śiva’s anugraha while repeating the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—as a practice of surrender (śaraṇāgati). As a simple ritual support, apply Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and offer water to the Liṅga with the intent: “May my actions be guided by Śiva’s grace.”
