त्रिपुरवर्णनम् (Tripura-varṇanam) — “Description of Tripura”
सर्वं त्रैलोक्यमुत्सार्य प्रविश्य नगराणि ते । कुर्वंति स्म महद्राज्यं शिवमार्गरतास्सदा
sarvaṃ trailokyamutsārya praviśya nagarāṇi te | kurvaṃti sma mahadrājyaṃ śivamārgaratāssadā
Driving out their foes throughout the entire three worlds, they entered the cities and established a great sovereignty—ever devoted to the path of Śiva.

It presents worldly victory as secondary to the higher ideal: remaining steadfast in Śiva-mārga. In a Shaiva Siddhanta lens, true greatness is not mere dominion but aligning one’s life and rule with devotion to Pati (Śiva) and dharmic conduct.
Being “devoted to the path of Śiva” implies living under Saguna Śiva’s guidance—expressed through Linga worship, temple discipline, and service. The verse frames governance and daily action as offerings aligned to Śiva’s ordained way.
A practical takeaway is steady Shiva-sādhana: daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), applying Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) with remembrance of Śiva, and maintaining Rudrākṣa-dhāraṇa as a sign of constancy on Śiva-mārga.
