It establishes Śiva as Parameśvara whose icchā (sovereign will) is the true cause behind creation and events, and it frames spiritual progress as the removal of garva (ego) through surrender to Him.
By affirming Śaṅkara as the personal Supreme Lord who governs the universe by will, it supports Saguna upāsanā—such as Liṅga worship—as a direct means to approach Parameśvara and receive ego-purifying grace.
Cultivate niścita mati (firm conviction) through japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and daily Liṅga-abhiṣeka with a prayer of surrender, specifically offering one’s pride at Śiva’s feet.
