नारदमोहवर्णनम् — Description of Nārada’s Delusion
तामादाय ततो विष्णू राजरूपधरः प्रभुः । अंतर्धानमगात्सद्यस्स्वस्थानं प्रययौ किल

Then Lord Viṣṇu—assuming the form of a king—took her with him. Instantly becoming invisible, he indeed departed and went to his own abode.

Tattva Level: pati
The verse highlights the lordly power (aiśvarya) of a deity to assume forms and withdraw them at will (antardhāna). From a Shaiva Siddhanta lens, such powers operate within the greater cosmic governance ultimately rooted in Śiva as Pati, while beings and events move according to divine order.
It underscores the principle of saguna manifestation—divinity taking a perceivable form for a specific purpose and then becoming unperceivable. Linga worship similarly supports devotion to Śiva’s accessible presence while pointing beyond form to the transcendent reality.
A practical takeaway is contemplation on antardhāna: during japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), meditate on appearances and disappearances as transient, and seek steadiness in Śiva as the inner witness; if practicing Tripuṇḍra-bhasma, recall impermanence and the goal of liberation.
