Nārada’s Austerities Described

विष्णुरुवाच । कुत आगम्यते तात किमर्थमिह चागतः । धन्यस्त्वं मुनिशार्दूल तीर्थोऽहं तु तवागमात्

viṣṇuruvāca | kuta āgamyate tāta kimarthamiha cāgataḥ | dhanyastvaṃ muniśārdūla tīrtho'haṃ tu tavāgamāt

Viṣṇu said: “From where have you come, dear one, and for what purpose have you arrived here? O tiger among sages, you are indeed blessed; and by your very coming, this sacred place becomes a true tīrtha for me.”

It teaches that the presence of a realized sage sanctifies a place and elevates the seeker; in Shaiva understanding, such satsanga becomes a doorway (tīrtha) toward Shiva-oriented purity and liberation.
