कामप्रभावः (कामा॑स्य प्रभाववर्णनम्) — The Power of Kāma and the (Ineffective) Attempt to Delude Śiva
उपायं स चकाराति तत्र मारगणोऽपि च । मोहोभवन्न वै शंभोरपि कश्चित्परात्मनः
upāyaṃ sa cakārāti tatra māragaṇo'pi ca | mohobhavanna vai śaṃbhorapi kaścitparātmanaḥ
Thereupon he devised a stratagem, and even the hosts of Māra gathered there; yet no delusion at all arose in Śambhu—who is the Supreme Self—for none can bewilder Him.

It affirms Śiva as Parātman (Pati), eternally free from moha; delusion belongs to bound souls (paśu) under bonds (pāśa), not to the Supreme Lord.
Linga-worship approaches the transcendent Parātman through a sacred form; this verse reminds devotees that the One worshipped is never overcome by māyā, even when He appears in worldly narratives.
Meditate on Śiva as the untouched witness (Parātman) while japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—to reduce moha and align the mind with His steadiness.
