प्रमथाश्चागमिष्यंति यदि विष्ण्वादयो भ्रमात् । नानाकर्षणमंत्रेण ज्वालयानीय सत्वरम्
pramathāścāgamiṣyaṃti yadi viṣṇvādayo bhramāt | nānākarṣaṇamaṃtreṇa jvālayānīya satvaram
If the Pramathas come—or if even Viṣṇu and others, through delusion, approach—then one should swiftly set (the protective fire) ablaze by means of the various attraction-compelling mantras.

The verse emphasizes that when forces—mundane or even divine—move under confusion, a disciplined Shaiva response is prompt mantra-guided protection, affirming Śiva’s order (pati) as the stabilizing power amid delusion (bhrama).
In Saguna Śiva worship, mantra and ritual acts (like kindling a protective fire) are applied as Śiva’s practical grace in the world; this verse reflects that ritual sovereignty, where Śiva’s attendants and even great deities are subject to the right ordering power of Śaiva mantra.
It suggests immediate protective ritual action using specific mantras—conceptually aligned with mantra-japa and fire/energy consecration—undertaken with alertness and purity, as in Shaiva rites supported by bhasma and disciplined recitation.
