दक्षयज्ञे सत्या अपमानबोधः — Satī Encounters Disrespect at Dakṣa’s Sacrifice
सत्युवाच । तात त्वं निंदकश्शंभोः पश्चात्तापं गमिष्यसि । इह भुक्त्वा महादुःखमंते यास्यसि यातनाम्

Satī said: “Dear one, because you are a reviler of Śambhu (Lord Śiva), you will surely fall into remorse. Having suffered great misery here in this world, in the end you will go to torment (in the realms of punishment).”
Satī
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Bhairava
Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga origin; it is Satī’s prophetic warning to Dakṣa: Śiva-nindā leads to worldly duḥkha and post-mortem yātanā (torment), consistent with purāṇic karmic pedagogy.
Significance: Functions as a moral-theological warning: offenses against Pati (Śiva) intensify pāśa (bondage) and lead to suffering; repentance and turning toward Śiva is implied as the remedy.
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
The verse teaches that Shiva-nindā (reviling Lord Śiva) is a grave spiritual offense that binds the soul (paśu) more tightly in pāśa (bondage), ripening as suffering and later remorse; reverence and bhakti toward Pati (Śiva) become the doorway to auspiciousness and liberation.
Śambhu here is the worshipful Saguna Lord approached through forms like the Śiva-liṅga; the verse underscores that honoring the Lord’s manifest presence and His devotees purifies karma, while contempt toward Śiva and His worship leads to spiritual downfall.
The takeaway is to avoid aparādha and cultivate Śiva-bhakti through daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), respectful darśana of the liṅga, and sattvic conduct; if one has erred, repentance and sincere devotion are implied as the remedy.
