दक्षयज्ञे मुनिदेवसमागमः / The Gathering of Sages and Gods at Dakṣa’s Sacrifice
इति तन्मखशापो हि वर्णितो मे मुनीश्वर । यज्ञविध्वंसयोगोपि प्रोच्यते शृणु सादरम्

Thus, O best of sages, I have described to you that curse connected with the sacrifice. Now I shall also explain—listen with reverence—the sequence of events by which that yajña came to be destroyed.

Tattva Level: pasha
It marks a transition from the narration of the curse to the narrated unfolding of karmic consequence—showing that ritual (yajña) without devotion and right understanding of Pati (Śiva) becomes spiritually barren and can collapse through ego and disrespect.
By preparing the listener for the yajña’s destruction, it reinforces the Purāṇic teaching that Saguna Śiva (worshipped as the Lord and as the Liṅga) is not subordinate to social pride or mere ceremonial authority; honoring Śiva is essential for any rite to bear fruit.
The direct instruction is śravaṇa (reverent listening) as a devotional discipline; the implied takeaway is to perform rites with Śiva-bhakti and humility—supporting Shaiva practices like japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) alongside ritual observance.
