दिव्य-भवन-छत्र-निर्माणः तथा देवसमाह्वानम्
Divine Pavilion and Canopy; Summoning the Gods
मायां चापि गृहाणेमां दुःप्रणोद्यां सुरादिभिः । यया संमोहितं विश्वमचिद्रूपं भविष्यति
māyāṃ cāpi gṛhāṇemāṃ duḥpraṇodyāṃ surādibhiḥ | yayā saṃmohitaṃ viśvamacidrūpaṃ bhaviṣyati
“Accept this Māyā as well—hard to drive away even by the gods—by whose power the entire universe, once deluded, will appear as insentient and take on the form of inert matter.”
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
The verse highlights Māyā as a powerful veiling bond (pāśa) that makes the conscious reality appear insentient; liberation arises when Shiva’s grace removes this delusion and the soul recognizes Pati (Shiva) beyond appearances.
Linga-worship centers the mind on Shiva as the conscious Lord (Cit) behind the world’s changing forms; devotion to Saguna Shiva stabilizes awareness and gradually loosens Māyā’s projection that reality is merely inert matter.
Regular japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa, offered in Linga-pūjā, is a traditional Shaiva discipline aimed at cutting delusion and turning the mind toward Shiva’s consciousness.
