Accompanied by all the hosts of the gods, with Brahmā and Viṣṇu at the forefront, and attended as well by those sages, Śaṅkara proceeded along the way, shining with divine splendour.

Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Offering: pushpa
The verse portrays Śiva (Pati) as the naturally self-effulgent Lord whose presence draws Devas and sages into harmony, indicating that divine order and auspiciousness arise when all beings align themselves with Śaṅkara.
By depicting Śaṅkara ‘shining on the path’ amid Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and the Devas, it supports Saguna-bhakti—contemplating Śiva’s manifest, gracious form; such remembrance is a direct aid to Linga-worship where the devotee focuses on Śiva as the supreme, auspicious reality.
A simple takeaway is procession-like smaraṇa and japa: mentally “walk with” Śiva through steady repetition of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), optionally with bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as Shaiva aids to recollection.
