FAQs

It teaches that tapas (disciplined austerity) purifies and refines the embodied being, producing inner luminosity that manifests outwardly—an indicator of spiritual maturation aligned with devotion to Shiva.

In Saguna Shiva worship, the devotee’s tapas and japa prepare the body-mind as a fit vessel for Shiva’s presence; such refinement supports steadiness in Linga-upasana and deepens devotional absorption.

Undertake regulated tapas such as mantra-japa (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), fasting/vrata with purity, and focused meditation—so the body-mind becomes calm, radiant, and devotional.
