FAQs

The verse praises Shiva as the supreme Pati whose power is irresistible, whose nature pervades the Vedic revelation (Trayī), and who protects devotees through grace—highlighting bhakti supported by Shiva’s śakti and anugraha (divine favor).

By addressing Shiva as the gracious protector and the embodiment of divine power, the verse supports Saguna upāsanā: devotees approach the Linga as the accessible form of the all-powerful Lord who receives praise and bestows protection and upliftment.

Use it as a namaskāra-mantra during Linga-pūjā: offer water and bilva leaves while mentally contemplating Shiva as Trayīmāya and repeating a related practice like “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” aligning devotion with surrender to His boundless śakti.
