सतीचरिते पितृगृहे आशीर्वाद-वचनम् तथा यौवनारम्भः — Satī at her father’s house: blessings and the onset of youth
न त्वं देवो ऽसुरो मर्त्यो न तिर्यङ् न द्विजः प्रभो । न स्त्री न षंढो न पुमान्सदसन्न च किंचन
na tvaṃ devo 'suro martyo na tiryaṅ na dvijaḥ prabho | na strī na ṣaṃḍho na pumānsadasanna ca kiṃcana
O Lord, You are neither god nor asura, neither mortal nor beast, nor even a twice-born. You are neither woman, nor eunuch, nor man; You are neither being nor non-being—indeed, You are not any “thing” whatsoever.
Sati (addressing Lord Shiva)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Mantra: न त्वं देवो ऽसुरो मर्त्यो न तिर्यङ् न द्विजः प्रभो । न स्त्री न षंढो न पुमान्सदसन्न च किंचन
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
It declares Shiva as the Supreme Pati who transcends all limiting identities—class, species, gender, and even the duality of existence and non-existence—pointing the devotee toward liberation through knowing Him as beyond all categories.
Though Shiva is described here as beyond all attributes (nirguṇa), the Linga functions as a sacred, non-anthropomorphic support for devotion and meditation—honoring the transcendent reality without confining Him to a human-like form.
Meditate on Shiva as formless consciousness while repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” using bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as aids to steady bhakti and inner renunciation of identity-based attachments.
