It links disciplined devotion (Śiva-pūjā with offerings) to the sanctification of worldly life, showing that even household aims become auspicious when preceded by reverent worship of Pati (Śiva), the Lord who purifies action and intention.
The verse implies formal pūjā with flowers and fruits—typical offerings to Saguna Śiva, commonly through Liṅga-worship—emphasizing that tangible devotion and prescribed observances (tithi-based worship) steady the mind and align actions with dharma.
Perform Śiva-pūjā on Kṛṣṇa Trayodaśī/Chaturdaśī with simple offerings (flowers, fruits), and accompany it with mantra-japa such as the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” treating major life-actions as sacred after worship.
