हरोरूर्वासनम्प्राप्य तनया तव सन्ततम् । न यत्र कस्याचिदृष्टिर्मानसं वा गमिष्यति
harorūrvāsanamprāpya tanayā tava santatam | na yatra kasyācidṛṣṭirmānasaṃ vā gamiṣyati
Having attained a seat upon Hara’s thigh, your daughter will remain there continually—where neither anyone’s glance, nor even another being’s mind, can reach.

Significance: Meditating on the exclusivity/purity of Umā–Hara union cultivates ekāgratā and guards against ‘paradṛṣṭi’ (externalization), turning the devotee inward toward Śiva’s grace.

The verse highlights Śiva’s protective grace: when the soul (symbolized by the beloved daughter) takes refuge in Hara’s lap, it abides in a sanctified sphere beyond ordinary intrusion—signifying divine guardianship and the intimacy of bhakti leading toward liberation.
Though the image is personal (Saguna Śiva as Hara), it supports Linga-worship by teaching the same principle: approaching Śiva as the accessible Lord who grants refuge; the devotee’s consciousness becomes inwardly protected and steadied through devotion and consecrated worship.
A practical takeaway is dhyāna on Śiva as the refuge—mentally placing oneself at Śiva’s feet (or in His lap) while repeating the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” ideally with bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as supports for steadiness and purity.
