Then, there—having been duly honored—the gods, led by Viṣṇu, placed Sadāśiva at the forefront; and all of them partook of the offerings together.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Offering: naivedya
It teaches the Shaiva principle that even the devas, including Viṣṇu as their leader, offer foremost honor to Sadāśiva—affirming Śiva as the supreme Pati (Lord) worthy of precedence in worship and gratitude.
Placing Sadāśiva “at the front” mirrors the ritual logic of Śiva-pūjā: the Linga/Saguna Śiva is honored first as the principal recipient, and only then are offerings and prasad shared—signifying Śiva’s primacy among all divine recipients.
The takeaway is pūjā-krama (proper order): honor Śiva first—offer naivedya and receive prasāda with reverence; one may accompany this with Panchākṣarī japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) as the inner act of placing Sadāśiva foremost in the heart.
