Pārvatī’s pure ornaments symbolize inner purification and readiness for sacred union with Śiva—devotion expressed through outward auspiciousness that mirrors inward clarity (śuddhi) in the Shaiva path.
It reflects Saguna-bhakti: honoring Śiva through tangible, beautiful, and pure offerings and preparations. Such purity and auspiciousness support focused worship of the Liṅga as the accessible form of Śiva for devotees.
Emphasize śauca (purity) before pūjā—bathe, wear clean clothes, and offer pure items (flowers, water, bilva). Mentally “adorn” the Liṅga with devotion while repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra: Om Namaḥ Śivāya.
