Menā’s Vision of Śiva’s Divine Form
लक्ष्मीर्नारायणं लेभे यथा वै स्वामिनम्पुरा । तथासौ पार्वती देवी हरम्प्राप्य सुभूषिता
lakṣmīrnārāyaṇaṃ lebhe yathā vai svāminampurā | tathāsau pārvatī devī haramprāpya subhūṣitā
Just as Lakṣmī formerly obtained Nārāyaṇa as her Lord, so the goddess Pārvatī, having attained Hara (Śiva) as her Lord, became splendidly adorned—fulfilled in auspiciousness and divine grace.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
The verse presents Pārvatī’s attainment of Hara as the fulfillment of divine devotion: when the soul turns toward Pati (Śiva) with steadfast tapas and bhakti, it becomes “adorned” with auspicious qualities and grace, mirroring the ideal of divine union.
By naming Śiva as Hara—the gracious Lord who removes bondage—the verse supports Saguna worship where devotees approach Śiva with form and attributes (often through the Liṅga) to receive anugraha (divine favor) and auspicious transformation.
A practical takeaway is Śiva-Pārvatī bhakti supported by japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and simple Liṅga-pūjā (water, bilva leaves), cultivating inner purity and auspiciousness.
