मेना-शिवदर्शन-प्रस्थानम् | Menā’s Quest to Behold Śiva
Departure for Śiva’s Darśana
शंकरोखिलकार्य्यस्य ह्यधिकारी च तत्प्रियः । अतोऽधिको वरो ज्ञेयस्स शिवः पार्वतीपतिः

Śaṅkara is the rightful Lord over all undertakings, and He is the beloved of that Supreme Reality. Therefore know: the higher and foremost boon is this—Śiva, the Lord of Pārvatī.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
It declares that Śiva (Śaṅkara) presides over all activities and outcomes; thus, the greatest “boon” is to take refuge in Him—Pati (the Lord) who grants grace and liberation, central to Shaiva Siddhanta.
By praising Śaṅkara as the supreme authority, it supports Saguna worship—approaching Shiva tangibly through Liṅga-pūjā and devotion to Shiva as Pārvatīpati—so that divine grace may govern one’s karma and lead toward moksha.
Choose Shiva as the highest aim: perform daily Liṅga worship with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma), recite the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and cultivate bhakti to Shiva-Parvati as the guiding Lord of all actions.
