हिमालयगृहे नारदस्य आगमनम् तथा विश्वकर्मनिर्मितवैभववर्णनम् — Nārada’s Arrival at Himālaya’s Palace and the Description of Viśvakarman’s Marvels
विचित्रम्मण्डपं गेहेऽकार्षीत्तस्य तदाज्ञया । विश्वकर्मा महामायी नानाश्चर्यमयं विभो
vicitrammaṇḍapaṃ gehe'kārṣīttasya tadājñayā | viśvakarmā mahāmāyī nānāścaryamayaṃ vibho
O mighty one, by his command Viśvakarmā—endowed with great creative power and Māyā—constructed within the house a wondrous, elaborate pavilion, filled with many marvels.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadyojāta
The verse highlights how sacred intention (ājñā) and divinely guided skill (Viśvakarmā’s mahāmāyā) can transform an ordinary home into a consecratory space that supports bhakti—an outer order mirroring inner readiness for Shiva’s grace.
A maṇḍapa is traditionally the prepared setting for Saguna worship—ritual, mantra, and offerings to the Liṅga. The narrative implies that devotion expresses itself by creating a fitting, pure environment for Shiva’s manifest presence.
Prepare a clean worship space (maṇḍapa), install the Liṅga or Shiva image, and perform japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” ideally with bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as supports for steadiness and remembrance.
