FAQs

The verse highlights śravaṇa (devotional listening) and reverent attention to auspicious events connected with Parvati’s divine narrative, reinforcing that receptivity and honor toward sacred happenings purify the mind and support bhakti toward Pati (Shiva).

Although the Linga is not named here, the mood is Saguna-bhakti: devotees gather joyfully and the narrator urges attentive hearing—an essential limb of worship that prepares the heart for Shiva’s grace as the story moves toward Parvati’s Shiva-centered destiny.

The direct practice implied is śravaṇa—listening attentively to Shiva-kathā. As a simple takeaway, one may recite the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") before listening/reading and maintain a reverent, focused mind.
