Himālaya’s Resolution to Give Pārvatī to Śiva
उवाच च पुनः प्रीत्या शैलराज ऋषींस्तदा । अयं भागो मया तस्मै दातव्य इति निश्चितम्

Then the king of mountains, Himālaya, delighted, again addressed the sages: “This share has been firmly determined by me to be given to Him.”
Śailarāja (Himālaya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
Offering: naivedya
It highlights dharmic resolve (niścaya) offered with sincere joy—an inner purity that, in Shaiva understanding, prepares the devotee to align actions and offerings toward Pati (Śiva) and His divine purpose.
Though the verse speaks of a “share” to be given, the underlying theme is honoring what is rightfully due in sacred contexts—mirroring how offerings (naivedya, arghya, etc.) are made to Saguna Śiva in Linga worship with clear intention and proper sanction.
A practical takeaway is to make offerings with firm sankalpa (clear resolve) and devotional gladness; one may accompany such sankalpa with japa of the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” before giving charity or performing pūjā.
