पार्वत्याः पितृगृहगमनं तथा मङ्गलस्वागतम् | Pārvatī’s Return to Her Father’s House and the Auspicious Welcome
ततो ददर्श तं तात रुद्ररूपं महाद्भुतम् । पार्वती सहितं रम्यं विहसन्तं सुतेजसम्
tato dadarśa taṃ tāta rudrarūpaṃ mahādbhutam | pārvatī sahitaṃ ramyaṃ vihasantaṃ sutejasam
Then, dear one, he beheld Him in a wondrous Rudra-form—beautiful, radiant with supreme splendor, gently smiling, and accompanied by Pārvatī.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga scene; the culminating darśana is Rudra with Pārvatī, signaling the transition from concealment to grace (anugraha) in the revelation sequence.
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
The verse highlights darśana of Pati (Śiva as Rudra) together with Śakti (Pārvatī), indicating that divine grace is experienced as a living, luminous presence—Saguna Rudra—who reveals Himself to the devoted and purifies the seeker through His radiance and compassion.
While the Liṅga is the timeless sign of Śiva’s transcendence, this verse emphasizes Saguna revelation—Rudra’s personal form, smiling and radiant. It supports the Purāṇic teaching that Liṅga-worship and devotion to Śiva’s forms are complementary paths leading to Śiva’s grace.
A practical takeaway is dhyāna on the luminous Rudra-form with Pārvatī (Śiva-Śakti), supported by japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and steadying the mind in reverent remembrance (smaraṇa) to invite inner darśana.
