पार्वत्याः पितृगृहगमनं तथा मङ्गलस्वागतम् | Pārvatī’s Return to Her Father’s House and the Auspicious Welcome
साधितं हि त्वया सम्यक्सुकार्यं कुलतारणम् । त्वत्सदाचरणेनापि पाविताः स्माखिला वयम्
sādhitaṃ hi tvayā samyaksukāryaṃ kulatāraṇam | tvatsadācaraṇenāpi pāvitāḥ smākhilā vayam
Truly, you have perfectly accomplished this noble task of redeeming the family. By your own righteous conduct as well, all of us have been purified.
An elder/relative praising Pārvatī (narrative voice within the Pārvatīkhaṇḍa, as conveyed by Sūta to the sages)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
The verse teaches that dharmic conduct (sadācāra) and a single well-accomplished noble act can purify not only the individual but also uplift the whole family line—reflecting the Shaiva view that inner purity supports devotion and liberation.
In the Parvati-centered narrative of the Rudra Samhita, purity and right conduct are presented as the foundation for worthy Saguna Shiva worship; such purity prepares the devotee to approach Shiva (often through Linga worship) with steadiness, humility, and sincere bhakti.
The direct emphasis is on sadācāra (ethical discipline) as daily sādhanā; as a practical takeaway, combine moral restraint with simple Shiva-bhakti such as japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and a pure, sattvic routine.
