पार्वतीवाक्यं—शिवस्य परब्रह्मत्व-निरूपणम्
Pārvatī’s Discourse: Establishing Śiva as Parabrahman
यद्यस्य मंगालानीह सेवते शंकरस्य न । यथापि मंगलन्तस्य स्मरणादेव जायते
yadyasya maṃgālānīha sevate śaṃkarasya na | yathāpi maṃgalantasya smaraṇādeva jāyate
Even if a person here does not formally observe the auspicious practices connected with Śaṅkara, still auspiciousness arises for him merely by remembering that Auspicious Lord.

Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: General doctrine: even without formal maṅgala-kriyā (auspicious observances), mere smaraṇa (remembrance) of Śaṅkara generates maṅgala—highlighting grace over ritual completeness.
Significance: Encourages nāma-smaraṇa and inner recollection as universally accessible; supports the Siddhānta emphasis that Śiva’s grace can begin even before full ritual competence.
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It teaches that Shiva’s grace is accessible through bhakti: mere remembrance (smaraṇa) of Śaṅkara generates maṅgala (auspiciousness) and inner purification, even when external observances are absent.
Linga-worship is a saguna support for devotion, but the verse emphasizes that the essence is Shiva-consciousness—holding Śaṅkara in memory. Even without formal Linga-rituals, sincere smaraṇa connects the devotee to the Lord’s auspicious presence.
Practice Shiva-smaraṇa daily: mentally repeat the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and contemplate Śaṅkara’s qualities as Maṅgala; this is presented as effective even without elaborate rites.
