The verse teaches that sincerely hearing auspicious Shaiva instruction with love is itself welfare-giving, and that those who are pleasing to Shiva become “blessed,” deserving respect—highlighting the primacy of Shiva-bhakti and the dignity of devotees under Shiva’s grace.
By calling Shiva’s devotees worthy of repeated reverence, the text supports Saguna Shiva worship in community: honoring those devoted to Shiva and his Linga is treated as a sacred act that strengthens bhakti and aligns one with Shiva’s favor.
The direct practice is śravaṇa (devotional listening) with prīti (loving attention). As a Shaiva takeaway, pair such listening with japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and respectful service to Shiva devotees, especially on Mahāśivarātri.
