पूर्वगतिवर्णनम् (Pūrvagati-varṇana) — “Description of the Prior Course / Earlier Lineage Account”
कलावती वृषभानस्य कौतुकात्कन्यया सह । जीवन्मुक्ता च गोलोकं गमिष्यति न संशयः
kalāvatī vṛṣabhānasya kautukātkanyayā saha | jīvanmuktā ca golokaṃ gamiṣyati na saṃśayaḥ
Out of affectionate curiosity, Kalāvatī of Vṛṣabhānu will go together with the maiden. She will become liberated while still living (jīvanmuktā) and will certainly attain Goloka; of this there is no doubt.
Sūta Gosvāmī
Tattva Level: pashu
Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga account. ‘Goloka’ functions as a named divine realm in the narrative economy, expressing post-liberation beatitude rather than a Śaiva topography.
Significance: Didactic: even seemingly ‘light’ motives (kautuka) can become salvific when they lead to transformative darśana/saṅga and ripened merit.
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
The verse highlights jīvanmukti—freedom from bondage while still embodied—showing that sincere contact with sacred truth can ripen into liberation and a blessed post-mortem state (loka-gati) without doubt.
In the Rudra Saṃhitā’s devotional frame, liberation is typically presented as the fruit of grace received through devotion and right orientation to the Lord’s manifest (saguṇa) forms and sacred narratives—preparing the soul to transcend bonds and attain divine realms.
The practical takeaway is śraddhā-filled listening (śravaṇa) and remembrance (smaraṇa) of Śiva-tattva; it may be supported by daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and simple Śiva-pūjā with bhasma and Rudrākṣa as per one’s capacity.
