Śiva-jñāna and the Non-dual Vision of a Śiva-maya Universe (शिवज्ञानम्—सर्वं शिवमयम्)
तदाहंकारनिर्मुक्तो जीवो निर्मलबुद्धिमान् । शङ्करस्य प्रसादेन प्रयाति शङ्करताम्पुनः
tadāhaṃkāranirmukto jīvo nirmalabuddhimān | śaṅkarasya prasādena prayāti śaṅkaratāmpunaḥ
Then the jīva, freed from egoism and endowed with a stainless understanding, by the grace of Śaṅkara, attains once again the state of Śaṅkara—union with the Lord’s auspicious nature.

It teaches that liberation is not merely self-effort: when egoism (ahaṃkāra) falls away and the intellect becomes pure, Śiva’s grace (prasāda) completes the soul’s return to the auspicious Shiva-state (śaṅkaratā).
In the Kotirudra context of Jyotirliṅga devotion, worship of Saguna Śiva (as Śaṅkara in the Liṅga) ripens into inner purification; through that devotion and His prasāda, the jīva is led beyond ego into union with Śiva’s auspicious reality.
A practical takeaway is steady Śiva-bhakti with ego-reducing discipline—japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), meditation on Śiva, and living with humility—so the buddhi becomes nirmala and fit to receive Śaṅkara’s grace.
