Śiva–Hari–Rudra–Vidhīnāṃ Tattva-nirṇayaḥ
Identity of Śiva, Viṣṇu, Rudra, and Brahmā; Nirguṇa–Saguṇa Reconciliation
एकं बीजं बहिर्भूत्वा पुनर्बीजं च जायते । बहुत्वे च स्वयं सर्वं शिवरूपी महेश्वरः
ekaṃ bījaṃ bahirbhūtvā punarbījaṃ ca jāyate | bahutve ca svayaṃ sarvaṃ śivarūpī maheśvaraḥ
From the one Seed, manifesting outwardly, the seed is born again; and when it appears as many, all of it—truly—is Maheśvara Himself, whose very form is Śiva.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: Supports the vision of sarva-śiva-mayatva (all as Śiva’s manifestation) while maintaining Śiva as the ultimate source; encourages seeing every tīrtha and being as pervaded by Maheśvara.
Offering: pushpa
Cosmic Event: Bīja-to-manifestation cycle: causal seed externalizes and is re-established; multiplicity affirmed as Śiva-form
It teaches that the One causal reality (the ‘seed’) manifests as the many worlds, yet the essence of all multiplicity remains Maheśvara—inviting the devotee to perceive Śiva as the inner reality of all experience.
The Liṅga symbolizes the one, unbroken source, while its worship acknowledges that the same Śiva appears as the entire manifested cosmos; thus Saguna worship becomes a doorway to realizing the one Śiva behind all forms.
Meditate on Śiva as the single seed within the heart and repeat the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), contemplating that every form and event is Śiva-rūpa—supporting steady bhakti and inner detachment.
