Mukti-bheda-nirūpaṇa (Classification of Liberation) and Śiva as the Sole Bestower of Mokṣa
न रक्तो नैव पीतश्च न श्वेतो नील एव च । न ह्रस्वो न च दीर्घश्च न स्थूलस्सूक्ष्म एव च
na rakto naiva pītaśca na śveto nīla eva ca | na hrasvo na ca dīrghaśca na sthūlassūkṣma eva ca
The Supreme Lord is neither red nor yellow; neither white nor blue. He is neither short nor long; neither gross nor subtle—thus He transcends all limiting attributes and measurable forms.

It teaches that Shiva, the Pati (Supreme Lord), is ultimately beyond sensory qualities like color, size, and material subtlety—guiding the seeker from limited concepts to direct contemplation of the transcendent reality.
The Linga is a sacred support for worship that points to the formless (nirguṇa) Shiva; while devotees may worship Shiva with form and attributes, this verse reminds that His true nature surpasses all physical descriptors.
Meditate on Shiva as beyond all attributes while chanting the Panchakshara (Om Namah Shivaya); let external worship (bhasma/tripundra, rudraksha, and Linga-puja) mature into inner absorption in the attributeless Lord.
