Linga-worship in the Shiva Purana repeatedly stresses śuddha-bhāva (pure attitude). This verse contrasts pure-hearted service with corrupt motives, reinforcing that Saguna Shiva responds to devotion grounded in integrity.
Maintain śuddha-saṅkalpa (pure resolve) while doing daily Shiva practices—japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple puja—so the act becomes inwardly sanctified, not merely external.
