ज्योतिर्लिङ्ग-तदुपलिङ्ग-माहात्म्यवर्णनम्
Narration of the Greatness of the Jyotirliṅga and Associated Liṅgas
त्रिजगच्छम्भुना व्याप्तं सदेवासुरमानुषम् । अनुग्रहाय लोकानां लिंगरूपेण सत्तमाः
trijagacchambhunā vyāptaṃ sadevāsuramānuṣam | anugrahāya lokānāṃ liṃgarūpeṇa sattamāḥ
The three worlds—together with the gods, demons, and human beings—are pervaded by Śambhu. For the grace of all beings, that Supreme One abides in the form of the Liṅga.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: Doctrinal key: Śambhu pervades the triloka yet ‘abides’ as liṅga specifically for anugraha—making the transcendent immanent and approachable through a concrete worship-support (liṅga-rūpa).
Significance: Frames liṅga-darśana and liṅga-sevā as channels of grace (anugraha) for all beings; pilgrimage becomes a grace-oriented encounter rather than mere merit-collection.
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
It teaches that Shiva is both transcendent and immanent: He pervades all realms and beings, yet compassionately becomes approachable through the Liṅga so devotees can receive grace and move toward liberation.
Although Shiva is formless and all-pervading, the Liṅga is His saguna, worship-worthy manifestation—an accessible support for devotion and contemplation, especially central to Kotirudra themes like Jyotirlinga pilgrimage.
Liṅga-pūjā with Panchākṣarī mantra japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") is implied as a direct practice to receive Śiva’s anugraha; meditating on the Liṅga as the presence of the all-pervading Śambhu aligns worship with inner realization.
