न्यासवर्णनम् (Nyāsa-varṇanam) — Description of Nyāsa in the Saṃnyāsa Procedure
सम्पूज्य पश्चात्सौराख्यं योगपीठं समर्चयेत् । पीठोपरि समाकल्प्य मूर्त्तिं मूलेन मूलवित्
sampūjya paścātsaurākhyaṃ yogapīṭhaṃ samarcayet | pīṭhopari samākalpya mūrttiṃ mūlena mūlavit
After completing the worship, one should duly venerate the yogic pedestal called “Saurā.” Having arranged the Deity’s form upon that seat, the knower of the Root should worship with the root-mantra, thus establishing Saguna Śiva for contemplative union.

It teaches that worship is not only offerings but also correct inner placement: establishing the deity upon a consecrated yogic seat and invoking Śiva through the mūla-mantra, aligning devotion (bhakti) with meditative steadiness (yoga) toward liberation.
By instructing the installation of a visible “mūrti” on a “yogapīṭha,” the verse supports Saguna upāsanā—approaching the transcendent Nirguna Śiva through a sanctified form (including Liṅga worship) invoked by mantra.
Worship the yogapīṭha (ritual sanctification of the seat/altar), then place the deity-form upon it and perform mantra-based worship using the mūla-mantra (root invocation), integrating outer pūjā with focused inner contemplation.
