प्रणवार्थ-शिवतत्त्व-निर्णयः
The Determination of Śiva as the Meaning of Praṇava
ध्यायेत्सदाशिवं देवं हृदयाम्भोजमध्यतः । तत्पादपद्मस्मरणादिति श्लोकं पठन्पुनः
dhyāyetsadāśivaṃ devaṃ hṛdayāmbhojamadhyataḥ | tatpādapadmasmaraṇāditi ślokaṃ paṭhanpunaḥ
One should meditate on the Lord Sadāśiva in the very center of the lotus of the heart; and, remembering His lotus-feet, one should again and again recite this verse.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Internal pilgrimage (antar-yātrā): heart-lotus meditation on Sadāśiva is framed as a direct means to receive anugraha, refining the paśu toward liberation beyond mere ritual merit.
Mantra: ध्यायेत्सदाशिवं देवं हृदयाम्भोजमध्यतः । तत्पादपद्मस्मरणादिति श्लोकं पठन्पुनः
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
It teaches inner worship (antar-yāga): realizing Sadāśiva as present in the heart-lotus and attaining grace through steady remembrance and repeated recitation, a Shaiva path that purifies bonds (pāśa) and turns the soul (paśu) toward the Lord (pati).
While external Linga worship supports devotion, this verse emphasizes internalized Saguna contemplation—visualizing Sadāśiva within the heart—so outer ritual and inner dhyāna become one continuous act of Shiva-bhakti.
A heart-centered dhyāna on Sadāśiva combined with repeated śloka-recitation (japa-like repetition), anchored in pāda-padma-smaraṇa—constant remembrance of Shiva’s lotus-feet.
