तंसमासाद्यवेगेनवालिपुत्रःप्रतापवान् ।।।।तलेनाभ्यहनत्क्रुद्धः कर्णमूले सकुण्डले ।

Transliteration

taṃ samāsādya vegena vāliputraḥ pratāpavān |

talenābhyahanat kruddhaḥ karṇamūle sakuṇḍale ||

Translation

Closing in with speed, the valiant son of Vāli, angered, struck him with his palm at the base of the ear, where his earrings hung.
