महोदरवधः (The Slaying of Mahodara)
उत्पेततुस्ततस्तूर्णंजघ्नतुश्चपरस्परम् ।भुजैश्चिक्षिपतुर्वीरावन्योन्यमपराजितौ ।।6.98.27।।
utpetatustataḥ tūrṇaṃ jaghnatuśca parasparam | bhujaiścikṣipaturvīrāvanyonyamaparājitau ||
Then, leaping up swiftly, those two undefeated heroes struck each other and grappled, each pushing the other with his arms.
Then quickly getting up striking one another, both the heroes who have never been defeated, pushed each other by their arms.
The verse refers to Rama and Ravana, describing their intense physical combat where both demonstrate equal prowess.
It translates to 'undefeated ones,' emphasizing that both combatants possess an unblemished record of victory, making their final confrontation a clash of equals.
