महोदरवधः (The Slaying of Mahodara)
जघ्नतुस्तौतदान्योन्यंवेदतुश्चपुनःपुनः ।तलैश्चान्योन्यमहत्यपेततुश्चमहीतले ।।6.98.26।।
utpetatus tatas tūrṇaṁ jaghnatuś ca parasparam |
bhujaiś cikṣipatur vīrāv anyonyam aparājitau ||6.98.27||
Then they sprang up swiftly and struck one another; those two undefeated heroes grappled, each pushing the other back with his arms.
Then both of them again and again striking each other slapping with palms fell down and rolled on the ground.
Resilience is a dhārmic strength: falling is not failure; one rises and continues the rightful task with steadiness and courage.
After tumbling to the ground, both combatants recover immediately and resume grappling and striking.
Vīrya joined with kṣamā (endurance): the capacity to recover quickly and persist without losing fighting spirit.
