Though fallen, the monkey rose again and hurled at him a palm-strike like a thunderbolt, resounding with a dreadful crash.
Dropped down by him (Virupaksha), Sugriva, got up, and gave the Rakshasa a slap with his palm which was equal to thunderbolt that produced a terrific sound like crash.
Dharma in conflict includes steadiness and recovery: one does not surrender to fear or injury when defending a righteous cause.
After being brought down, Sugrīva rises and strikes Virūpākṣa with a powerful palm-blow.
Dhairya (courageous composure) and utsāha (renewed effort).
