सप्तनवतितमः सर्गः (Yuddha Kāṇḍa 97): Sugrīva’s Onslaught and the Fall of Virūpākṣa
ममन्थ च महाकायान्राक्षसान्वानरेश्वरः ।युगान्तसमयेवायुःप्रवृद्धानगमानिव ।।।।
mamantha ca mahākāyān rākṣasān vānarēśvaraḥ | yugāntasamaye vāyuḥ pravṛddhān gamān iva ||6.97.10||
And the lord of the vānara hosts crushed the huge-bodied rākṣasas, like the wind at the end of an age battering great masses.
The Vanara Lord of gigantic body, moving like the wind, tortuously destroyed the Rakshasas like a huge wind destroying the universe.
Righteous alliance and protection: Sugrīva’s force is portrayed as a decisive support to Rāma’s cause, using strength in service of a pledged duty.
Sugrīva counterattacks powerfully, breaking rākṣasa formations after earlier vānara losses.
