राक्षसैर्वध्यमानानांवानराणांमहाचमूः ।शरण्यंशरणंयातारामंदशरथात्मजम् ।।।।

Transliteration

rākṣasair vadhyamānānāṃ vānarāṇāṃ mahācamūḥ |

śaraṇyaṃ śaraṇaṃ yātā rāmaṃ daśarathātmajam ||

Translation

As the rākṣasas cut down the vānaras, their great host sought refuge in Rāma—Dasharatha’s son—the true protector of all who seek shelter.
