स प्रविश्यसभांराजादीनःपरमदुःखितः ।निषपादासनेमुख्येसिंहःक्रुद्धइवश्वसन् ।।।।

Transliteration

sa praviśya sabhāṃ rājā dīnaḥ paramaduḥkhitaḥ |

niṣapādāsane mukhye siṃhaḥ kruddha iva śvasan ||

Translation

King Rāvaṇa entered the council-hall, pitiable and overwhelmed with grief; sighing like an enraged lion, he sat down on the chief seat.
