Make your preparations this very day, on the fourteenth of the dark fortnight; then, on the day of amāvasyā (new moon), set out surrounded by your forces, for victory.
"Today being the fourteenth day of the dark fortnight, start on the next day that is the fifteenth dark day surrounded by the army and win."
Dharma in warfare includes orderly, disciplined action: preparation, proper timing, and facing the enemy with one’s forces rather than harming captives.
Suparśva proposes a concrete plan: prepare now and march with the army on the new-moon day to seek victory.
Prudence and leadership: channeling emotion into organized duty and strategic action.
