युद्धकाण्डे द्विनवतितमः सर्गः — Indrajit’s Fall, Rama’s Embrace, and Sushena’s Battlefield Healing
एवमुक्तस्तुरामेणमहात्माहरियूथपः ।।।।लक्ष्मणायदरौनस्तस्सुषेणःपरमौषधम् ।
evam uktas tu rāmeṇa mahātmā hari-yūthapaḥ |
lakṣmaṇāya dadau nastaḥ suṣeṇaḥ paramauṣadham ||6.92.23||
Thus instructed by Rāma, the noble leader of the vānaras, Suṣeṇa administered to Lakṣmaṇa, through the nostrils, a supreme medicine.
Spoken by Rama in that manner, the great Vanara leader, Sushena gave supreme medicine to Lakshman through his nose.
Dharma includes skilled service rendered at the right time: healing and preserving life supports the righteous cause and honors the duty owed to comrades.
Suṣeṇa follows Rāma’s instructions and applies a potent remedy to revive and stabilize Lakṣmaṇa.
Competent service and prompt obedience—Suṣeṇa’s medical expertise and readiness to act for the common good.
