इन्द्रजित्-लक्ष्मणयुद्धम् तथा वानरप्रोत्साहनम् (Indrajit–Lakshmana Battle and the Rallying of the Vanaras)
छिद्रेषुतेषुबाणौघैर्विचरन्तमभीतवत् ।।।।अर्धयामाससमरेसौमित्रिःशीघ्रकृत्तमः ।
chidreṣu teṣu bāṇaughair vicarantam abhītavat | ardhayāmāsa samare saumitriḥ śīghrakṛttamaḥ ||
As he moved about fearlessly amid the openings made by volleys of arrows, Saumitri—swiftest in action—pressed him hard in the battle, wounding him yet further.
While Indrajith was moving undaunted being hurt, Lakshmana who acts with extreme alacrity and fearless easily pierced Indrajith with arrows.
Dharma here appears as disciplined courage: Lakṣmaṇa acts decisively to protect the righteous cause, using skill and speed without hesitation when the battle demands it.
Indrajit continues moving fearlessly; Lakṣmaṇa intensifies his attack, exploiting openings created by arrow volleys.
