तौप्रयुद्दौतदावीरौमृधेलक्ष्मणराक्षसौ ।शरौघानभिवर्षन्तौजघ्नतुस्तौपरस्परम् ।।।।

Transliteration

tau prayuddhau tadā vīrau mṛdhe lakṣmaṇarākṣasau | śaraughān abhivarṣantau jaghnatus tau parasparam ||

Translation

Then, in the thick of battle, those two heroes—Lakṣmaṇa and the rākṣasa—poured down torrents of arrows and struck each other without pause.

In that battle the two heroes, Lakshmana and Indrajith rained streams of arrows on each other and engaged themselves in the battle.
