इन्द्रजित्–लक्ष्मणयोर् घोरः शरयुद्धः (Indrajit and Lakshmana’s Fierce Exchange of Arrows)
तयोरुधिरसिक्तानिसम्वृतान्तिशरैर्भृशम् ।।6.89.40।।बभ्राजुःसर्वगात्राणिज्वलन्तइवपावकाः ।
śakrāśani-samasparśair lakṣmaṇenāhataḥ śaraiḥ | muhūrtam abhavan mūḍhaḥ sarva-saṅkṣubhitendriyaḥ || 6.89.6 ||
Struck by Lakṣmaṇa’s arrows—whose touch was like Indra’s thunderbolt—he was stunned for a moment, all his senses thrown into turmoil.
Both of them, bodies wet with blood and covered with arrows were glowing like fire and appeared bright.
Actions bear immediate consequences: when power is used in service of dharma, it can decisively check aggression and restore moral balance.
Indrajit reels under Lakṣmaṇa’s powerful arrow-strikes and momentarily loses composure.
Lakṣmaṇa’s potency and steadiness in combat—effective strength governed by purpose.
