Shattered by his arrows, the great golden armor broke apart and fell upon the chariot-floor, like a cluster of stars dropping from the sky.

Shattered by the arrows, the shield of Indrajith covered with gold dropped in the chariot like a mass of stars from the sky.

A dharmic subtext: unjust power and its protections (symbolized by glittering armor) are ultimately fragile before steadfast righteousness and disciplined effort.

Lakṣmaṇa’s counterattack is effective: Indrajit’s golden armor is shattered and falls onto the chariot.

Lakṣmaṇa’s focused skill and unwavering resolve—precision and persistence in service of dharma.
